Sent laptop for repairs, together with lots of other disgruntled students. Toshiba is truly the laptop brand from hell. That or NUS students get quality inspection rejects. Thought I could survive 5 days without Internet. Boy was I wrong. Hooked up my older and much slower PC to the ADSL modem. I feel vaguely human again.On the day I finished my finals, the Nicoll highway collapsed. When I saw footage from the TV, the first thought that came to me was "oh dear, LA earthquake again", even though I knew it was stills from Nicoll highway. Man. I've zoomed on that stretch of road so many times since I got my license. A bit hard to believe it's collapse. Roads in Singapore don't do that. PAP wouldn't allow it. My laptop, together with the multitudes of games, is out of action. Sigh.
