Gawd I'm tired
I have now experienced the thrills of working 8:30-5... and it's no fun. Dead tiring although 1 of my projects is still unknown. Responsible for creating a database for a certain department. Merging many disparate databases into a cohesive one is no fun. Especially when the "client" is still unsure of the requirements and scope, plus the version of Access used is 97. That's more than half a decade old! Downgrading was never more painful. On the plus side, i'm pretty much the only database-trained person in the department, so no one will be nitpicking my normalization apart. Heh heh. I can even choose not to normalize! Not likely though...
Results were out today. 2 A's and 3 A-'s. The A-'s were all for my computing modules. This brings me to a record total of 6 A-'s for 4 level 2000 foundation modules and 2 level 3000 modules. Don't know whether to laugh or cry. It feels good to have a year of straight A's (albeit a lot of A-'s, if you want to be pedantic). On the other hand, the A-'s could have easily been A's had I pushed myself harder. That's what I always say on hindsight. Pushing myself harder doesn't seem to be that worthwhile when the time comes for me to push. Grades are not everything right? Heh. Anyway, pretty satisfied over my results, though I'm far from overjoyed. Maybe it's because I'm too tired...
