... gawd, a second level literature module is way different from a level one literature module. The class size is so small that the lecturer can zoom questions around the lecture theatre. My head, of course, remained bowed most of the time. What do I know about African-American lit? Zilch. Lots of catching up to do. Diaspora, Fifth of July address, Mason-Dixon line, Jim Crow period, double consciousness, racial segregration vs integration, unionists vs abolitionists, jazz and blues, three types of irony (which i later learnt are verbal, situational and dramatic irony)... ugh. I feel so stupid.

Three women had to sit next to me. Of all places in the large and empty LT, they have to squeeze together in a show of molecular attraction. The one beside me was nodding and agreeing away. Made me feel even more stupid. After that, Co-op was packed to the brim. Had to wait a frigging long time for them to tell me that the novels/ texts I wanted were not available. Kino stocked one of them... Joe Turner's Come and Gone. 20 bucks for a slim slim volume I probably can finish in 2.5 MRT trips. No way I'm gonna buy that. Will park myself at the xerox machines.

Finally found Spring Fever from Origins. I swear, a brand so difficult to locate should call itself something less ironic. Off course, the price tag on the fragrance is enough to cause a fever by itself... the lady got me a nice, i'm-gonna-kick-ur-arse-matrix-style document bag though, so I shouldn't complain. :)
