Reason and Persuasion :::: Technology Strategy and Mgmt
Philosophy was odd... way odd. Lecturer could speak well fortunately, although he did meander a bit along the way. I am beginning to fear this is how philosophy works. In discrete math, to disprove a preposition P, we can look for a negation -P. Unfortunately, from what I've read from Euthyphro, in Philo, you move from P to A, to B, to -A, to C, to D, to -B ... ad infinitum/ nauseum ... -P. [A, B, C, D, ...] must of course, be seemingly logically unrelated and totally confusing, such that one is tempted to go back in time in a time machine so as to personally hasten the execution of the monster (that's Socrates to you). While we're at it, we could take out Plato as well. Even more unfortunately, everything seems to make a perverse sort of sense, since the lecturer said we'll be tested on skills we need to have before taking Philosophy... skills not covered in the main lectures. Maybe I should lose myself in the past. Hope future lectures shape up better, wisecracks aside.Tech Strat & Mgmt wasn't too bad. I didn't get some Korean fellow who is trying to aim for a groundbreaking rendition of "Careless Whisper" in Spanish. Although the material looks to be potentially boring (The five P's of Strategy? Classic textbook stuff.), the lady seemed competent and experienced enough. That's something at least. After past brain-calcifying IS lectures, I need some better quality lectures to renew my faith.
