Mahathir, Mahathir

The eternally lovable (as a skunk) Mahathir is at it again. Not content with blasting his successor and the current administration, he also spills his vitriol (or skunk juice, if you like) over one of his favourite punching bags. That'd be us, the proverbial thorn of an island in his side.
Alas, Mahathir's acerbity seems to have mellowed somewhat with his old age. Not visited Singapore once since his retirement? I doubt the tourism board will be frantic with worry over this earth-shattering relevation. Ex-prime ministers who display symptoms of rabidity aren't exactly a booming tourism segment. Much more, in his own words, Singapore is so small that a Ferrari cannot even accelerate properly before dropping into the sea. Added to the fact that he's unlikely to receive star treatment over here, Singapore would make a dull place indeed for an (self-)important person such as himself.
Maybe Australia? Britain? US? Oh wait... Bush, Blair and Howard wouldn't be very pleased with him now that they are "war criminals".
More's the pity. I think Central Park Zoo would make a great retirement villa for him. Far from unfriendly neighbours, full of adoring fans taking photographs who will give him whatever airtime he needs, and maybe even a possible role in a Disney animated movie if he behaves well enough...
Nah. Scrap the last. Wouldn't want to scar the kids.
